Adopting Zira means Europe UEFA Europa Conference League results start mattering to you, a club going since 2014. Not a novelty, a habit.

Easy weekend
Heydar Aliyev International Airport (GYD) is about 24km from the ground, and Həzi Aslanov is 29km closer still. A home fixture is a genuinely doable two-night trip.
The calendar you inherit
Following Europe UEFA Europa Conference League means odd kick-off hours, a new commentary language and a table you will check before your own club's. Azerbaijan becomes part of your week.
Ground floor
Founded in 2014. There is no dynasty to inherit and no bandwagon to be accused of joining, this is a club whose history you can genuinely watch happen.
Something to defend
The cabinet is not empty: Azerbaijan League and Azerbaijan Cup. Small enough to recite from memory, big enough to argue about in a pub.

Ground: Gabala City Stadium. Go in a day early, find the pre-match pub, buy the programme.
