The Trophy Cabinet

Adopting Wattens means Austria Bundesliga results start mattering to you, a club going since 1930. Not a novelty, a habit.

Close to the pitch
Tivoli Stadion Tirol, Innsbruck holds about 16,008. You can hear the defenders shouting at each other, which is the single best argument for lower-capacity football.
Easy weekend
Innsbruck Airport (INN) is about 20km from the ground, and Fritzens-Wattens railway station is 1km closer still. A home fixture is a genuinely doable two-night trip.
The calendar you inherit
Following Austria Bundesliga means odd kick-off hours, a new commentary language and a table you will check before your own club's. Austria becomes part of your week.
Old enough to matter
1930 is the founding date, old enough that the club has survived a war, a rebuild and at least one financial scare, young enough that the good years are still in living memory.

Ground: Tivoli Stadion Tirol, Innsbruck. Go in a day early, find the pre-match pub, buy the programme.
