Why Vicenza

Vicenza work as a second team because they come with their own geography: Italy, Stadio Romeo Menti, and a set of rivalries you will absorb faster than you expect.

Loaded cabinet
6 distinct honours on record, including Coppa Italia. Adopt them and you inherit expectation, which is more fun than it sounds when the trophies keep coming.
Close to the pitch
Stadio Romeo Menti holds about 12,000. You can hear the defenders shouting at each other, which is the single best argument for lower-capacity football.
You get a nickname
Known as {{Plainlist| *I Biancorossi *Lanerossi/Lane *La Nobile Provinciale *I Berici. That is your new shorthand, your search term and your excuse for buying a scarf.
Worth the journey
Nearest airport is Treviso Airport (TSF), roughly 51km out. This is not a casual away day, which is precisely why the people who do it take it seriously.
