The Case For Them

Gangwon work as a second team because they come with their own geography: South Korea, Chuncheon Songam Sports Town Gangneung Stadium, and a set of rivalries you will absorb faster than you expect.

Something to defend
The cabinet is not empty: K League 1. Small enough to recite from memory, big enough to argue about in a pub.
Home is home
Chuncheon Songam Sports Town Gangneung Stadium is the address. Learn the walk from the station to the turnstile and you have most of what supporting a club actually is.
You get a nickname
Known as | short name =. That is your new shorthand, your search term and your excuse for buying a scarf.
Worth the journey
Nearest airport is Yangyang International Airport (YNY), roughly 44km out. This is not a casual away day, which is precisely why the people who do it take it seriously.
