Chongqing Tongliang Long

Reasons To Adopt

Here is the argument for Chongqing Tongliang Long: China, China Chinese Super League, and a ground called Longxing Football Stadium. A second team should give you something your first one cannot, and this is a different country's whole weather system.

• Worth the journey

Nearest airport is Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport (CKG), roughly 57km out. This is not a casual away day, which is precisely why the people who do it take it seriously.

• The calendar you inherit

Following China Chinese Super League means odd kick-off hours, a new commentary language and a table you will check before your own club's. China becomes part of your week.

• Deep roots

Founded in -1, Chongqing Tongliang Long were playing organised football before floodlights, substitutes or televised highlights existed. You are adopting 2027 years of accumulated grudges.

• Something to defend

The cabinet is not empty: China League One and China League Two. Small enough to recite from memory, big enough to argue about in a pub.
