Ballkani

The Case For Them

Here is the argument for Ballkani: Kosovo, Europe UEFA Europa Conference League, and a ground called Theranda City Stadium. A second team should give you something your first one cannot, and this is a different country's whole weather system.

• Easy weekend

Priština Adem Jashari International Airport (PRN) is about 8km from the ground, and Kosovo Polje railway station is 0km closer still. A home fixture is a genuinely doable two-night trip.

• The calendar you inherit

Following Europe UEFA Europa Conference League means odd kick-off hours, a new commentary language and a table you will check before your own club's. Kosovo becomes part of your week.

• Modern era club

Formed in 1947, so the whole story is documented, arguable and still being written. Join now and you were basically there from the start.

• Something to defend

The cabinet is not empty: Superliga e Kosovës and Kupa e Kosovës. Small enough to recite from memory, big enough to argue about in a pub.
