Why Airdrieonians

Airdrieonians work as a second team because they come with their own geography: Scotland, Excelsior Stadium, Airdrie, and a set of rivalries you will absorb faster than you expect.

Loaded cabinet
6 distinct honours on record, including Scottish Championship Play-off Final. Adopt them and you inherit expectation, which is more fun than it sounds when the trophies keep coming.
Home is home
Excelsior Stadium, Airdrie is the address. Learn the walk from the station to the turnstile and you have most of what supporting a club actually is.
You get a nickname
Known as The Diamonds. That is your new shorthand, your search term and your excuse for buying a scarf.
Easy weekend
Glasgow Airport (GLA) is about 30km from the ground, and Drumgelloch railway station is 1km closer still. A home fixture is a genuinely doable two-night trip.
